I'd like to share a scene that takes place almost every day at the Domaine Tourbillon tasting room.
Visitors walk in after exploring Gordes, wandering through the streets of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, or enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Luberon. Some are passionate wine lovers, while others know very little about wine.
Very often, they begin with the same sentence:
"We're not wine experts."
And you know what?
That's perfectly fine.
Wine Has Never Been About Being an Expert
Wine is, above all, about pleasure.
That's why we have always chosen to offer free wine tastings at Domaine Tourbillon.
We want everyone to feel welcome when they enter our cellar door. There should be no pressure, no complicated vocabulary and no feeling that wine is reserved for specialists.
Our job is simply to help people discover.
To discover a terroir, an appellation, a wine, but most importantly, to discover emotions and sensations.
Because wine is not something you study.
It's something you experience.
Why We Offer Free Tastings
We have always believed that choosing a wine should start with tasting it.
That may sound obvious, but many people still feel intimidated when they visit a winery.
We want the exact opposite.
We want visitors to take their time, ask questions, compare wines and enjoy the experience at their own pace.
Of course, we are delighted when guests take bottles home.
But our greatest satisfaction comes when someone discovers a wine they never expected to enjoy.

Today, we offer a tasting selection of twelve wines.
The reason is simple: every visitor is different.

A Wine Tasting Experience in the Heart of the Luberon
Our tasting room is located in Lagnes, between Gordes and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, in the heart of the Luberon.
Many visitors discover Domaine Tourbillon while exploring Provence.
We're proud of our location, of course.
But what makes us even prouder is seeing visitors leave with a better understanding of wine and, sometimes, a better understanding of their own tastes.
