Côtes du Rhône village Plan de Dieu
The nose is open and radiant, characterized by aromas of ripe red and black fruits, cherries, wild strawberries, blackberries and blackcurrants are perceptible. Sweet spicy notes such as black pepper and liquorice can also be detected.
On the palate, this Plan de Dieu is both soft and structured and offers a beautiful fruity intensity. The Grenache brings a characteristic roundness and sweetness, while the Syrah adds structure, depth and spicy notes. The Carignan, in turn, contributes freshness and a certain liveliness, while at the same time bringing fine tannins that lend structure to the whole. Ageing in tanks preserves the purity of the fruit aromas, resulting in a wine that is direct and accessible, yet has a beautiful complexity.
The finish is long and pleasant, characterized by lingering aromas of red fruits and spices, with a slight hint of minerality that balances out the richness of the wine. This wine is already very pleasant when young, but can also be aged for several years to soften the tannins.
