When you come to the Luberon, there are many ways to enjoy the region: visiting villages, walking through the vineyards, discovering local food or simply taking the time to enjoy the Provençal way of life.
For us, wine is part of that experience.
At Domaine Tourbillon, we welcome visitors to our cellar in Lagnes, between L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Gordes, for a wine tasting that is above all about pleasure, sharing and discovery.
You do not need to be a wine expert. You can simply come because you enjoy wine, because you are curious, or because you want to discover the wines of the Rhône Valley during your stay in Provence.
First and foremost, come for the pleasure
We believe that wine tasting should be an enjoyable experience.
There is no need to know how to identify every aroma or to master wine terminology. We prefer to start with a simple question: what do you like?
During the tasting, we present different wines and styles so that everyone can find something that suits them. Fresh and easy-drinking wines, generous reds, more structured wines for ageing, whites, rosés or sparkling wines: the idea is to taste, compare and enjoy.
Our cellar offers the opportunity to discover around a dozen wines, including some of the great appellations of the Southern Rhône Valley.

Tasting is also a way to learn
If you want to go a little further, we are always happy to explain.
A wine tasting can be an opportunity to understand how to look at a wine, smell it, taste it and describe what you feel. But it can also be a way of discovering the work behind the bottle.
We can talk about grape varieties, soils, harvesting, ageing, vinification or the choices we make in the cellar.
And if you are interested in the Rhône Valley, tasting several wines side by side is one of the easiest ways to understand the differences between them.
Discovering the wines of the Rhône Valley, one glass at a time
The Rhône Valley is home to a remarkable diversity of wines.
At Domaine Tourbillon, we work with several appellations and styles, from accessible Côtes du Rhône wines to more renowned appellations such as Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Tasting them together allows you to understand how grape varieties, soils, climate and winemaking choices influence the character of a wine.
For example, a [Gigondas] can offer a very different expression from a [Châteauneuf-du-Pape], even though both belong to the Southern Rhône Valley.
The same applies to our [Côtes du Rhône] wines, which allow us to explore another side of the region, with wines designed to be enjoyed more easily and on different occasions.

For us, wine tourism is not only about tasting finished wines.
It is also about understanding where they come from and the work that goes into producing them.
We work with respect for our vineyards and for the character of each terroir. We practise reasoned farming without herbicides and pay particular attention to the balance of our vines.
Our approach also includes different ageing and winemaking methods, including the use of barrels and, more recently, amphorae.
We like to explain these choices because they are part of what makes each wine different.
A tasting adapted to each visitor
Every visitor arrives with a different level of knowledge.
Some people know a great deal about wine. Others are discovering it for the first time. Some want to learn about tasting techniques, while others simply want to enjoy a pleasant moment with friends or family.
There is no right or wrong way to approach wine tasting.
We adapt the conversation to you. You can ask questions, compare wines, talk about food pairings or simply let yourself be guided.
Our objective is quite simple: that you leave having discovered a wine that you genuinely enjoy.
A wine tasting during your day in the Luberon
Our cellar in Lagnes is also a convenient stop during a day exploring the Luberon.
Located close to L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and on the way towards Gordes, it can be included in a day of sightseeing, especially if you want to combine villages, local food and wine.
The cellar itself is part of the experience, with its contemporary setting, its visible wall of barrels and its selection of local products.
You can take the time to taste, ask questions and discover our wines before continuing your journey through Provence.

A bottle of wine is rarely just a bottle.
It is often associated with a meal, a holiday, a meeting with friends or a moment shared with family.
That is why we like wine tourism to remain simple and accessible.
You can come to us to discover a new appellation, to choose a bottle for dinner, to learn more about the Rhône Valley or simply to take a break during your holiday.
And if you want to continue the experience at home, you can of course purchase the wines you have tasted directly from the Domaine.
